The mountain of 7 colors (also called Vinicunca or simply ‘rainbow mountain’) is a mountain formation dyed in various shades as a result of the complex combination of minerals. It is one of the majestic attractions present on the road to Ausangate, it is said to be a place that shows a new opportunity for all who visit it. It is located at an altitudinal summit located at 5,200 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.).

Before traveling:

• Pick-up service is included. It may take 30 to 45 minutes to pick up the group.
• If you are one of the first to be picked up, it may take some time to gather the entire group.
• Travel 3.5 km to reach the top of Rainbow Mountain.
• Bring warm clothes, a jacket, hat and gloves.
• Horseback transportation service is available. Consider that this activity has a cost that you will be able to negotiate directly at the beginning of the hike.
• It is mandatory to wear sunglasses during the route.
• The dirt road is not in the best conditions; the trip may cause altitude sickness. It is recommended to carry personal medication or pills for altitude sickness.
• Everyone walks at different speeds. The guide will be in different places assisting the group.
• During the excursion, additional expenses such as entrance fees, water, souvenirs and others can only be paid with cash and Peruvian soles.
